History: In 1996, and attempt was made by Chancellor Sorenson and the Board of Regents to turn the University of Wisconsin--Stout into a charter school. Immediate opposition was raised by the faculty, academic staff, and classified staff of the university. A no confidence vote was less than favorable towards the Chancellor and the concept of a charter school was dropped. Description: This collection consists of correspondence, survey results, and newspaper clippings concerning the charter school and no confidence vote.
